About the tour

The Karaburun Peninsula and Sazan Island lie just across the bay from Vlora, but there is no easy road to either of them. That is why they have some of the cleanest water in the Mediterranean. Together they form the Karaburun-Sazan Marine Park, Albania's first national marine park, created in 2010.

Our daily boat trip leaves Vlora Main Port at 10:00 and spends the day exploring the park. You get about three hours to swim and snorkel at Karaburun, a panoramic visit to Haxhi Ali Cave, the largest sea cave in Albania, and a stop at Sazan Island, a former military base that is now open to visitors.

Itinerary

  1. – Departure from Vlora Main Port. Cruise across the Bay of Vlora with views of the city and Sazan Island.
  2. – About 3 hours on the Karaburun Peninsula. Swim, snorkel and relax at a beach you can only reach by sea.
  3. – Haxhi Ali Cave panoramic visit. Optional small speedboat ride inside the cave, booked on board.
  4. – Sazan Island stop: Albania's largest island, a former military base.
  5. – Return to Vlora Port.
